Library is the most effective knowledge store of the institute. The College has a well-furnished, spacious and rich library with a separate reading room. It provides a serene and peaceful atmosphere to students for reading and research. At present, the library stocks more than 20,572 books comprising of more than 7000 titles on various subjects of engineering and Management. In addition to this, the library has also subscribed to over 80 National journals, 4 international journals, 50 technical and non technical magazines, and news letters to keep the students and faculties up-to-date of the latest developments in their respective fields. Besides these, the institute has also subscribed to 272 international online journals. Along with the technical subjects, students also enjoy reading books and magazines on Current Affairs, General Knowledge, and Employment and on literary affairs. Besides, almost 1489 CD ROM on various book, exercises and Journal/Magazine are also made available to the students for their personal use.
The library resource center is fully computerized with a 14 terminal LAN and one printer operating with specialized library software named ALICE. The package facilitates issue and return of books, online access to books catalogue, and reservation of books. The students have access to the entire collection through computers attached with CD-ROM facility. The library has been automated using an user-friendly library package. Index facility is also provided by the library. Using this facility user can search book by title of book as well as author of book. |
